Do you know of any way around viewing if you are not in the specified area? I agree with you regarding the regional preferences. You don't have them on CD's, why do we need them on DVD's. That's HDTV, digital radio and digital cable as well as over the air Television broadcasts. This signal will be used in all modern equipment to indicate when recording will not be allows. Bye Bye DVRs. So, for example, if you are not going to be home to watch the next episode of American Idol, 24 or Lost, well that's just too bad. And that football game? forgetaboutit.
